It seems being (potentially) the number one streaming platform is not enough for TV giant Netflix, with the brand moving into the 'baked goods' industry (so to speak). To align with the release of their new series Disjointed, the streaming service released twelve strains of weed based off their original Netflix titles. Considering most stoners smoke weed, then spend hours deep in the pit of Netflix's unknown, we're surprised the alignment wasn't made sooner.

Disjointed tells the story of a woman who dreams of opening a marijuana dispensary. Three of the strains are inspired by the series - the Omega Strain, Eve's Bush, and Rutherford B. Haze.

In a press release, Netflix wrote "each strain was cultivated with the specific shows in mind, designed to complement each title based on their tone." Other strains include Banana Stand Kush for Arrested Development, the Vodkush for The Chelsea Show and Poussey Riot for Orange is the New Black.

The exclusive strains of the weed were only available at a pop-up dispensary in West Hollywood from 25-27 August. Netflix did not profit from the sales of product; the strains were a marketing stunt for promotional purposes.
