Donald Trump’s response to Meryl Streep’s speech is CLASSIC
The Buro daily
After accepting the Cecil B. Demille award at the 2017 Golden Globes yesterday, Meryl Streep rallied her Hollywood peers in a damning speech where she basically tore shreds off Donald Trump. While she never specifically named the president elect - it was glaringly obvious who she was referring to when she called him a "bully" with an "instinct to humiliate". While her powerful speech drew tears from audience members (watch it below), it also raised the ire of the man himself.
In an interview with The New York Times shortly after the Golden Globes aired, Trump responded in the most Trump way. Apparently he was "not surprised" that "liberal movie people" like Streep had words to say about his presidential election tactics. And when questioned about making fun of a disabled reporter, he defended himself again. "I was never mocking anyone. I was calling into question a reporter who had gotten nervous because he had changed his story," he said. "People keep saying I intended to mock the reporter's disability, as if Meryl Streep and others could read my mind, and I did no such thing."
While it's no secret Meryl Streep is a Hillary Clinton supporter, Trump couldn't let the criticism go, firing off a succession of snarky tweets later that evening.

It's hard to imagine President Obama calling someone a "flunky" isn't it? In other news, we bet we know who won't be attending Trump's inauguration any time soon...
Update: Vanity Fair reports that Trump called Streep one of his favourite actresses back in 2015. In an interview with The Hollywoowd Reporter, Trump was asked who his favourite Hollywood actress were. His answer: "Julia Roberts is terrific, and many others... Meryl Streep is excellent; she's a fine person, too." Funny how quickly things change.
