Will we ever get over the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion? The answer is no. Despite the fact that our favourite girl group have previously reunited in 2007 at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and for the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games, The Sun reports that another Spice Girls reunion is on the cards for next year - and our life just got spiced right up.

Speculation about a possible reunion had been whispered about this month, with the reports surfacing that should a reunion happen, Victoria Beckham would not be involved due to an alleged rivalry with Mel C. However, according to an 'insider' all five girls - Beckham included - will reunite for a TV special and compilation album next year.  "The five of them have been locked in secret talks since the summer, and finally they are all on-board for a 2018 reunion," the 'insider' told The Sun. "As it stands, they will be working together on a series of projects, which will include an album and a TV special celebrating the Spice Girls."

It is said that Mel B's difficult battle with divorce and the birth of Geri Halliwell's son Monty have brought the five girls closer together this year. Plans around the TV reunion and compilation album are still in the early stages, but according to sources, "the team behind the reunion are delighted to have made it to this point."

In wake of the countless stories of female inequality and sexual harassment that have come to media attention this year, Girl Power is exactly what we need right now.
