BAFTA-winning quirky flick Amélie was the surprise breakout hit of the early aughts, with the whimsical title character played by elfin ingénue Audrey Tautou, capturing hearts and audiences all over the world. This heart-warming story of an innocent Parisian girl helping those around her with unexpectedly life-changing and hilarious results while also finding love herself became the unexpected feel-good flick of the year, if not the decade. So it was only a matter of time until audiences wanted a little more of the captivating Amélie magic.

Enter the Broadway production currently in full-blown rehearsal mode opening March 2017. Naturally the musical is based on the movie and has a powerhouse award-winning team behind it: lyrics by Nathan Tysen and Daniel Messé, music by Messé, script by renowned screenwriter Craig Lucas. And taking centre stage Phillipa Soo of Hamilton's America fame and Adam Chanler-Berat from Vince Vaughn's Delivery Man.
