But no need for tears or an endless loop of Poker Face, Lady Gaga has hinted that she'll still be "creating" during the break up. What she'll be creating we don't know but isn't that the beauty of Gaga? Always keeping her fans guessing.

Gaga revealed the startling news at a press conference at the Toronto International Film Festival and according to metro.co.uk said, "I'm going to take a rest...that doesn't mean I won't be creating, I have some things up my sleeve." She further added that she just wants to "...slow down for a moment, for some healing. Because that's important."

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (Lady Gaga to fans) is considered one of the music industry's most talented trailblazers with over 27 million in record album sales and a massive fan following nicknamed the Little Monsters. As well-known for her envelope pushing fashion as she is for her incredible vocal range, energetic stage performances and social activism, it's no wonder Gaga needs a break with so many plates to juggle. She's also been very open about her battle with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the need to take time out to ensure she's well mentally and physically.

But if the thought of a Gaga-less music space is too much to handle, you can still get your fix via her upcoming Netflix doco, Gaga: Five Feet Two. Coming to the streamer at the end of the month, the film offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Gaga's life documenting everything from her performance at this year's Super Bowl to the painful physio treatment she receives for her 2013 hip injury to all the emotions tied to releasing her new album.
