Though Maya Arulpragasm has said that her fifth record would most likely be her last, the Paper Planes singer has not been, ahem, retiring in her approach to controversial subject matter.

In classic MIA style, the musician has released another self-directed music video, heavy on perceptible political commentary. The video sees the singer flying across a deserted, mountainous landscape in the back of a ute - on a bed of marigolds in a printed onesie, as you do - cut between a shot of men moving in unison in front of an orange wall which some suggest is a call-out to Trump.

Lyrics include the surprisingly Mary Poppins-inspired:

Throw up my finger and I’m taking on the [Trump] Tower and Super-kala fascist racist espi-ala-tazors

And:

I’m not Rihanna, I’m not Madonna, I’m not Mariah or Ariana/I’m been around in this world causing drama/The real spice girl, hot girl power
