Star Wars is one of the best known and loved sci-fi film franchises on the planet, fans go into hyper-drive every time there's even the faintest whisper of what will happen next in this ultimate, heart-pumping, intergalactic good versus evil story. In December 2015 the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens was released to huge acclaim after a ten-year hiatus since the last instalment, the best-forgotten Episode III Revenge of the Sith came out. J.J. Abrams' fresh-yet-faithful take introduced a slew of new characters including up-and-coming Aussie actress, Daisy Ridley playing Rey and Girls star Adam Driver as Han Solo and Princess Leia's evil son, Kylo Ren. The flick ended in spectacular Star Wars cliff-hanger form - Rey finding Luke Skywalker (played by Mark Hamill) on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere living as hermit - opening up so many questions the next episode couldn't come soon enough.

And the newly released trailer for Episode VIII The Last Jedi doesn't disappoint, it includes snippets of everything fans love about this franchise from the hauntingly familiar theme song, to adrenaline-fuelled interstellar spaceship battles, to the mystique of the Jedi and the eternal good versus evil question.
