The drawcard of TV is the suspense - what will happen next? And in a straight-from-TV script, last year Netflix hugely popular political drama House of Cards shut down production on season 6 when allegations of sexual harassment were levelled against star Kevin Spacey. It was then reported that the script would be rewritten sans Spacey's character and with the focus on Robin Wright's character, Claire Underwood. So. Much. Drama.

But we have news, according to Variety, Netflix has announced production on season 6 of House of Cards has resumed with the final season consisting of eight episodes. And joining Wright on the casting call sheet are two huge Hollywood names: Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear.  Variety reports that their character details are, "...being kept under wraps, but it is known the two will play siblings."

However, if the cut-throat world of fictional politics isn't your jam but good-looking lawyers are - then we have great news for you. Variety also reports that Grey's Anatomy alum and rom-com darling, Katherine Heigl is joining Suits in season 8 as a "series regular." Per Variety Heigl will, "...play Samantha Wheeler, a talented new partner at Pearson Specter Litt who challenges the status quo and will either become the firm's greatest ally or most powerful enemy,"

For fans of the legal dramedy you'll already be across the fact that at the end of season 7 the show is losing two of its main cast members, Meghan Markle (who is leaving the show to marry a prince #truestory) and Patrick J. Adams. So the addition of Hollywood heavyweight Heigl will fill the huge gap left by Adams and Markle.
