Harry Potter enthusiasts we're got some exciting news for you - it looks like the world of witchcraft and wizardry will be gracing the big screen for many more years to come. J.K Rowling has revealed at a recent IMAX fan event in London that there will be not one, but five Fantastic Beasts films.
The author of the Harry Potter franchise and screenwriter of the upcoming flick Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them explained how the spin-off movie was always intended to expand. "We always knew that it was going to be more than one movie - we knew that from the start - so we set a trilogy as a sort of placeholder," she explained. "But I've now done the plotting properly, so we're pretty sure it's going to be five movies." Rowling later took to Twitter to confirm it will definitely be a five part series - and that she's nearly finished the script for film number two.
