Announcing a reboot is a tricky line to walk; not only will it have to weigh up against the line-up of blockbuster releases, the critics are that much harsher when there is a classic to compare against (and more often than not, the reboots flop in comparison - why try to fix what isn't broken?)

Considering vintage Drew Barrymore is our spirit animal and Farah Fawsett is eternal hair goals, we took the news of a potential Charlie's Angels reboot with a spoonful of trepidation. However, when we heard what actresses are being considered for the big screens most famous female crime fighting trio, we've got to say we were a bit intrigued.

Variety reports that Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong'o are the front runners for a 2019 Charlie's Angels reboot that will be directed by Elizabeth Banks (of Pitch Perfect 2). If reports are correct, this will be the first major headline for Stewart since Snow White and the Huntsman (2010), who has mostly been working on indie films of late.

The most recent reboot of the 1970s TV show was the 2000 film Charlie's Angels starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu which was a huge success at the box office grossing, $264.1 million. The film was followed by Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, which earned $259.2 million globally. Looks like Stewart and Nyong'o have some big shoes to fill.
