This 25-year-old entertainment powerhouse has been treading the boards since she was a kid with breakout roles in kids TV series Barney & Friends and Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, but she crosses into so many entertainment categories including singing, modelling and producing (she recently exec produced Netflix hugely popular series 13 Reasons Why) it's easy to forget that she's an actor first.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Gomez joins an all-star cast line up including Hollywood darling Elle Fanning and Call Me By Your Name's Timothée Chalamet on Woody Allen's untitled upcoming film. The film will be released by Amazon Studios and like so many of Allen's neurotic characters, Allen is known for obsessively keeping details of upcoming projects tightly under wraps - which is certainly the case for this film, zero plot information has been released so far.

Aside from the all the music videos Gomez has recently appeared in both for her solo music career and in collaboration with other artists like Charlie Puth, we last saw Gomez in a lead movie role in 2012's Spring Breakers starring alongside James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson. Guessing her character in Woody Allen's film will be quite a departure from her role as Faith in that teen felon flick.
