It's the TV series that's has everyone talking - and whether you love it or loathe, Netflix has announced some major news about 13 Reasons Why. The controversial teen drama has confirmed a second season for the show, which will premiere in 2018. Executive producer Selena Gomez also took to Instagram to confirm that the "story isn't over," along with a cryptic teaser of the show (way to leave us hanging!).

So far, all we know is that the season will begin after Hannah's death. "The new season will pick up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery" Netflix explained in a statement. The 13-episode season will also see Brian Yorkey return as the show's writer.

But the one burning question fans want to know; will Katherine Langford (who plays lead Hannah Baker) feature in the new season? In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Yorkey explained Hannah's plot-line is still very much active. "She's an integral part of whatever the next chapter of the story is, and she's very much still at the centre of it." We'll leave you to be the judge... stay tuned.
