She's already landed a spot in the coveted Oceans 8 line-up, and now the singer-come-actor is proving her musical film abilities. Rihanna will be starring in Annette; the latest musical movie to take Hollywood. The arthouse project will be directed  French filmmaker Leo Carax, who'll be making his first English speaking debut.

While the plot details are pretty slim, we do know that Rihanna will be performing alongside Adam Driver (Girls, Star Wars),  and the story will focus on a love story between a comedian and an opera singer.

According to Variety, shooting will commence later this year over several different international locations. Annette will have its script and original songs produced by art-rock band, Sparks.

Rihanna's had one heck of a ride recently. She's just come off the back of a Harvard high; receiving the Humanitarian of the year award just a couple of weeks ago. And was in Paris debuting her new Fenty x Puma collection.

We're so excited for a little Ri Ri musical action! More to come...
