Queensland-born actor, Margot Robbie is versatile to say the least. Since her first foray treading the boards on Down Under daytime soap Neighbours she's played an epic sex bomb opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, a con artist (Focus), queen of the jungle (Tarzan) and a maniacal comic book character, Harley Quinn in 2016's Suicide Squad. The girl has range. Which in Hollywood translates to a career that can't be pigeonholed.

And her latest casting follows this unpredictable path - according to The Hollywood Reporter Robbie is set to play Queen Elizabeth I opposite Saoirse Ronan in Mary Queen of Scots. Other-worldly drama darling, Ronan (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Brooklyn, The Lovely Bones) has been cast as Mary Stuart in the Working Title and Focus Features film, which will focus on the seething family rivalry between the two queens. No details yet on when the flick will be released, but with such strong casting when it does arrive on the big screen it's set to be a must-see.
