There was a time, not so long ago, when Daniel Craig, arguably one of the best Bonds to hit our scenes in recent times (RIP Roger Moore) said he was garaging his Aston Martin, hanging up his slightly shrunken suit and would rather "slash his wrists" than play James Bond again. After four films, he'd had enough. He didn't care who was going to be the next bond, or rather matter-of-factly said "Look, I don't give a f*ck." When pressed, he said he'd only do it for the money.

What followed this famous interview were so.many.rumours. Who would be the next Bond? There were rumours of Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Tom Hiddelston, Michael Fassbender, Damien Lewis and Jason Statham. But if the most recent news is to be believed, Craig has done a fancy backflip and is back to star in what will be his fifth Bond film, potentially with Skyfall singer Adele in tow.

According to a source at "The Daily Mirror", "Craig and Adele together are the winning team, the ultimate choice, the money spinners," they said. "It's taken time but Daniel has come round and the strong [consensus] in the Bond offices is that Mr. Craig is 007 again. As for Adele, she's more of an unknown quantity but loved being part of Bond, so the signs are positive." While there's been talk in the past that Craig was contractually obligated to star in one more film, despite butting heads with Skyfall and Spectre directed Sam Mendes, this is one of the few pieces of information that has led us to consider his return an actual reality.  Watch this space...
