Yesterday, you got the tiniest, 19-second glimpse of the new Fifty Shades Darker flick starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. But today, thankfully, you get a lot more. The first trailer of the Fifty Shade of Grey sequel has dropped and out of fear of spoiling the story for the non-book reading viewers, we won't say too much. All we will say is that it moves beyond introducing us to the BDSM world and works as a continuation of the cat-and-mouse relationship between Anastasia Steele and her intense paramour Christian Grey.
It doesn't take genius to figure who will be buying tickets to this one, even if the first film's director Sam Taylor-Johnson isn't back on board. She's been replaced with James Foley, whose credits include House of Cards and the 1996 creepfest Fear, which centres on a stalkerish boyfriend (Mark Wahlberg) and his terrified lover (Reese Witherspoon) - it now makes TOTAL sense why they hired him. Plus, based on the trailer below, it looks like we're finally getting some more Christian Grey backstory (and supporting character work).
Fifty Shades Darker hits cinemas on February 9.
