If the massive box office success of rev head crime film series The Fast and the Furious is anything to go on (the franchise has made over $5 billion USD at the box office according to the-numbers.com) then forthcoming high octane motorcycle crime thriller 1% is going to hit a home run.

Similar to The Fast and the Furious, 1% is set in the dangerous underworld of fast vehicle loving felons, but in 1% instead of American street racing crews, Australian motorcycle gangs are locked in a dangerous action-packed power struggle to own the streets.

The film stars a slew of up-and-coming Aussie talent including beauty Abbey Lee and Hacksaw Ridge hot property Ryan Corr. Lee is successfully transitioning from runway to film reel with previous parts in Mad Max: Fury Road and the Dark Tower and now her star turn in this gritty thriller.

The film marks the directorial debut of Stephen McCallum, another home grown talent who Deadline reports said this about the film: "1% is about brotherhood, loyalty and betrayal set within the primal underworld of outlaw motorcycle gangs.... This forbidden world was a really exciting canvas for a director. Matt Nable's script was a hard hitting, character-driven genre piece with strong Shakespearean themes."

1% will premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The TIFF festival is running from 7-17 September 2017 in Toronto, Canada. For the full program head to: www.tiff.net
