After the dazzling success of ‘Stranger Things’ season 2 we have a lot of questions around what will happen in season 3, a few of which were answered by the show’s producers and cast on Sunday night

Ahead of an April start date for production on season 3, Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy and key cast members shared details of the upcoming season during the show's PaleyFest discussion panel. Including when the next season is set, a Mind Flayer update and of course, what the kids are up to.

The Duffer brothers already spilled a few secrets on season 3 and we also know the cast all scored mega pay rises for the upcoming season, but here's all the new reveals we learnt about Stranger Things season 3 from PaleyFest 2018.

The season 3 setting is totally different from the first two seasons.

"Season 3 is set in the summer... This is that time of year where it's not about school, it's about the swimming pool and campfires and parades and Fourth of July and fireworks, so there's a kind of poppy fun to season 3 that's really enjoyable before things inevitably turn super dark." Levy told Variety during PaleyFest 2018. As for the year, it'll be the summer of 1985.

The kids are all in relationships.

Well of course they are, the characters are all in their early teens which is all about the relationship factor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Levy said, "Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink), respectively, would all be couples at the beginning of the season." Which was news to the cast, who apparently haven't read the script yet.

We'll be seeing a lot more of "Dad Steve" Harrington (played by Joe Keery).

During the panel Levy revealed: "We'll definitely get to see more of Steve Harrington in season 3, and I'll just say we won't be abandoning the Dad Steve magic."

More creatures coming and the shadow monster's plans.

Variety reports Levy, "hinted that after the demogorgon and demodogs in the first two seasons, there will be more creatures coming as 'the shadow monster is still lurking... in the Upside Down.'" Levy added, "He is determined to find a way to achieve his goals."
