From 3 - 20 August, the Melbourne International Film festival is bringing the best in avant garde, indie, documentary and foreign films to Australian audiences. We've spotlighted the top ten to put on your radar 

From lush Bolivian Rainforrests to the Southern California oil fields in the late 19th Century, this year's Melbourne International Film Festival will transport you to all corners of the globe. 

There are hundreds of  films on the bill - many hot on the heels of critically acclaimed showings at Cannes - with star studded casts including Natalie Portman, Michael Fassbender,  Chloë Sevigny and Jason Schwartzman , as well as a host of up and coming talent.
