Two of our favourite Aussie exports: Margot Robbie and Zimmermann joined forces in London last night for a night of stylish celebration

We thought Margot Robbie was laying low for a while, but it seems the newly married actress has been busy, with appearances at Glastonbury and a Zimmermann event this week alone. Co-hosting an intimate dinner in her adopted hometown of London alongside brand co-founder Nicky Zimmermann, Margot was joined by a host of Aussie expats like Christine Centenera and Candice Lake and London It-girls, who feasted on delights like buffalo ricotta gnocchi and crab beignet.

The Tuesday evening event celebrated the opening of Zimmermann's Mayfair flagship, so you can imagine how many guests were decked out in romantic creations by the brand. The opening marks the sixth Zimmermann store worldwide - not a bad effort for an Australian label that has stayed consistently true to its elegant and feminine design DNA. And even though the label has been a sartorial stalwart for Aussie girls for over 25 years, we can't help but feel a sense of patriotic pride and validation that the rest of the world has fallen under the same spell.
