Check your horoscope: Sydney can now claim to owning the world’s first Astrology Hotel
Even if you're no dedicated star gazer or astrology expert, few can say they've never read their horoscope or looked up their star sign. Whether you're a fiery Aries, perfectionist Virgo or dreamy Pisces - there's something about the 12 zodiac signs that fascinates us all. So we have to hand it to local hotel developer 8Hotels for coming up with the genius idea of creating the world's first Astrology Hotel.
Opening this week in the CBD Chinatown district, The Astrology Hotel (aka The Ultimo Hotel) offers a customised stay based around your star sign. Featuring urban-chic interiors and inner-city design staples like exposed brick walls, the hotel has partnered with leading astrologer Damian Rocks (of website starslikeyou.com.au) to bring you a boutique stay brimming with cute zodiac touches. From 'Do Not Disturb' signs illustrated by your star sign, to daily horoscopes delivered with your newspaper and slippers decorated with zodiac symbols, this 95-room hotel offers something a little more esoteric on top of your usual urban escape.
Plus, with city guides based around gastrology (dining and drinking), experiology (sightseeing and activities) and tailored for each of the 12 signs - you can explore Sydney with the guidance of a bona fide astrologer. Recently refurbished, the hotel also offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a barista coffee station, Astrolo-tea selected to match your zodiac sign and an Astrology library in the lobby. Sign us up, please!
To celebrate the launch, The Astrology Hotel is offering a 20% discount on Astrology packages during February and March. Star Charts packages start from $229 (for one) and $265 (for two) and include accommodation for up to two guests with a personalised star chart on arrival, a moon calendar and slippers. The Off The Charts consultation package is $329 (for one) and $469 (for two) and boasts accommodation for up to two people with a one-hour face-to-face astrology reading with the Stars Like You team, a moon calendar and slippers. Just want to stay there? Rooms range from $139-$329 per night.
