Out of everything the buzzing city has to offer, these are a few of my absolute favourite spots that I always return to when I'm back in Melbourne.
Bar Americano is the perfect balance of American party vibe and polished, refined European service! They take their coffee as seriously as their cocktails, serving life-changing lattes from the finest espresso machine I have ever seen: it's called the 'Slayer.' Bar Americano is one of my favourite inner city bars - it's the perfect spot for an after-work catch up.

Bibelot has only just opened and is located at the Coventry Street end of its sister cafe Chez Dré. A luxury European-inspired dessert boutique, Bibelot is the most decadent destination for all things sweet: an artisanal patisserie, gelateria, coffee bar, chocolate shop and high tea salon with a library of coffee table books for any dessert aficionado to lose themselves amongst.

Café Di Stasio
This candlelit Melbourne institution oozes old-school Italian charm. It has recently expanded to include a polished, pared-back bar space. The stunning venue features a deep marble bar, which stretches from the door to the far wall. The space, service and clientele are polished to perfection but still cool and chic. You can sip an espresso at the bar and feel as though you've been transported to Firenze.

Tucked away in a little side alley off Coventry Street, Chez Dre has some amazing pastries! The tarts are almost too pretty to eat. Everything about this place screams French! The serving sizes are petite and the décor is so Parisian. I love their Indonesian espresso roasted by The Maling Room and can never leave without some of their colourful macarons.

The National Gallery of Victoria is one of my favourite places to visit in Melbourne. This is the only art gallery in the world where you will regularly find people lying on the floor gazing at the ceiling. You can find a place for quiet contemplation, peace, silence, even personal meditation. But also, you find exhibits that are exciting, inspirational and very, very interesting. I loved the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition that the NGV hosted late last year - it was world class!

Supernormal... My favourite! The dumplings, pulled Korean BBQ pork shoulder, lobster rolls and the peanut butter parfait are all to die for! I also love the vending snack machine and the basement karaoke bar! It's the perfect space to eat - for me, this is what eating in Melbourne is all about.

Louis Vuitton Collins Street
My idea of perfection! The newly renovated store, which now includes the ready-to-wear collection, is the most indulgent shopping experience in Melbourne. It is such a beautiful space and buying something in the store is more than just a purchase, it's an experience and a defining moment that stays with you forever!
Louis Vuitton Collins Street re-opens with an expanded store and product offering today, Tuesday October 20.
