The most covetable boards we've ever laid eyes on - and the clothes to match, if you're keen. They're brought to you by former Aussie pro surfer Luke Stedman, whose fashion label, Insted We Smile (IWS) is a conceptual menswear line inspired by his beachy lifestyle. His new A/W '16 collection, Pettibon, is taking things one step further with a limited edition run of surfboards.
Creative genes clearly run in the family - Stedman's father, Shane Stedman, is a renowned surfboard shaper widely considered to be the most influential in the country (and that's a lot of coastline to cover). To celebrate his 50 years in the business, father and son collaborated on the one-off collection, which includes seven handmade surfboards in some of Shane's most identifiable designs.
At his peak, Luke ranked an impressive no.10 on the world surfing circuit - so it's safe to say he knows his way around a board too. As for the eye-catching prints that bedeck both board and clothes, they're inspired by sought-after American artist Raymond Pettibon's abstract interpretations of surfers and waves. Want to see more?
