Ever since news of David Bowie's devastating passing broke on Monday evening, fans have gathered at the UK singer's hometown - South London's Brixton - to pay their respects. Admirers came dressed in Bowie tribute looks, some painting their faces with glittery make-up and lightning bolts - a gesture in itself indicative of Bowie's immense reach across pop culture, music, art and fashion.
Many also laid flowers at a painted street art mural and lit candles as a sign of respect for the highly influential artist. But the most moving gesture? An impromptu sing-along on Monday evening at an Twitter and Facebook-organised street party outside Brixton's famous Ritzy Cinema. The cinema's salute to their "Brixton boy" was simple, but said it all.
As the crowd sings the lyrics to 'Starman' in the the moving footage below, tell us you don't get a lump in your throat... the legend lives on through his music.
Plus, listen to the original here (and marvel at Bowie's amazing '70s getup).
