Consider this your definitive guide to the dining hotspots across the globe

As voted by an international panel of 1000 chefs, food critics, food writers and restaurateurs. The World's 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony is the industry's night of nights (it's like the chef's version of the Oscars) and this year's list signals change is on the menu.

An Italian restaurant has come in at number one for the first time in the awards' history - Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy - Danish favourite Noma has been relegated to fifth place and Aussie star Attica, the only restaurant to make it into the top 50, has slipped a single position, coming in at a still very impressive 33rd.
