Then mark September 10-13 in your diaries, because that's when The Other Art Fair is coming to Sydney for the very first time.

The four day event will showcase the work of 100 of Australia's leading emerging artists, with a pop-up bar, live music, workshops and performance art on the side. The best bit? The fair connects the public directly to the artists, so, if you're lucky, you can nab a piece of art for as little as $100.

The UK's largest artist-led fair is coming to Sydney

Established in London in 2011, The Other Art Fair quickly became a highly anticipated fixture in the UK art calendar. They've issued a call-out to all Australian artists for their Antipodean event, with applications closing May 8. One hundred artists will be chosen to exhibit by a panel of contemporary art experts including Paris Neilson of White Rabbit Gallery, Megan Robson, assistant curator at the MCA and artist Mikala Dwyer.
