The other two have been identified as brothers Khalid and Ibrahim El Bakraoui - and it's come out the latter was a known militant who was detained and deported from Turkey last year. Turkey's president has said they notified European authorities of his status at the time.

The manhunt is ongoing for another man captured in CTV footage with the El Bakraoui brothers at Brussels' Zaventem airport, which will remain closed until at least the weekend. Police are also conducting raids to find other members of the local ISIL network responsible for the attacks, which claimed the lives of 31 and injured 270.

In more positive news to come out of the atrocity, airport luggage handler Alphonse Lyoura is being hailed a hero after it came to light he remained in the airport following the first bomb blasts to help the injured.
