She's just 23 years old and eight months pregnant, but on April 22 Ai Takagi will go to jail for 10 months

The Japanese-Australian law student and Queensland resident was charged with sedition over stories on her blog, The Real Singapore, which the judge ruled incited "vitriol and hatred" against foreigners living in Singapore. Now shut down, The Real Singapore is said to have been receiving as many as 13 million views per month, while its Facebook page, which attracted racist comments, had over 400,000 likes.

Takagi has been given one month to settle personal affairs before serving her sentence in Singapore. "Before this case started, I was not fully aware of the level of sensitivity needed when dealing with topics related to racial and religious issues in Singapore," she told the court. "I sincerely apologise for the harm I have caused through my actions."
