The world in shock: celebs react to the Trump presidency
#imstillwithher
In what will go down as one of the strangest, most mind baffling days in United States and world history, Donald J. Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States of America. No doubt your social media feeds went into meltdown last night, as the world struggled to compute that Hillary Clinton - the apparent shoe-in - had lost the presidential race to such an ill-qualified, misogynistic opponent. You may have noticed that as the live election coverage unfolded in the States last night, many American celebs social media accounts were strangely silent. We can only assume that they were waiting for the final moments to conceded defeat.
And yet, as we wake up this morning to a different future for America, many of them have made their feelings known. Here, we summarise the best of what they have to say.
This is an embarrassing night for America. We've let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We've let a bully set our course. I'm devastated.
