Earlier this year, the city of Paris sold thousands of tons of cobblestones from its iconic alleyways and streets. Seizing an opportunity, French entrepreneur Margaux Sainte-Lague swiftly bought 5 tons.
Now serving as souvenirs, collectables and keepsakes for tourists, Saint-Lague offers the stones decorated in gold leaf or with cute phrases in the traditional tricoleurs with prices starting at 60€ for a 1.3kg stone. It is reported she has already sold 50.
Owning property has never been cheaper.
