Meghan Markle has reportedly quit Suits hinting a royal engagement could come sooner than we think

Everyone loves a good love story (Meghan Markle even said so herself); throw in a royal family, a stunning actress and a real-life Prince Charming and the stakes are that much higher. So when buzz about a possible engagement between said actress and Prince Charming begins to surface, a royal frenzy occurs.

According to The Daily Star, Meghan Markle who plays glamazon paralegal, Rachel Zane on the hit drama series Suits, and also happens to be the girlfriend of royal bad-boy Prince Harry, will wrap filming next month and will not be returning for the series' eighth season next year.

The Daily Star claims that according to a 'source', "Meghan knows she can't really act at the same time as being a princess and is happy to make this career sacrifice... She really enjoys her charity work with Unicef and will broaden out her charity commitments when she becomes a full-time royal."

The rumours come only weeks after the pair attended their first official royal outing (hand-in-hand, no less), and reports in August that the couple got engaged during a romantic summer safari to Botswana. The couple are allegedly keeping tight lipped about it so as not to overshadow the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death.

With nothing confirmed from the studio, Kensington Palace or Markle herself, all of this news should be taken with a grain of salt. For all we know, this 'source' is an intern at the publication with a very creative imagination.

British betting sites Betfair and William Hill are taking odds on whether the couple will announce their engagement by the end of the year, put down your bucks and watch this space.
