Pity the Indonesian police who had to remove an inflatable sex doll from an Indonesian village in the Banggai islands. The doll was discovered floating in the ocean by a local fisherman, who took the inflatable home and proclaimed it was a bidadari or angel. After images of the heavenly being started circulating the internet, police made a home visit, discovered it was, in fact, a sex doll dressed in conservative clothing and a hijab, and made the decision to confiscate it. Apparently they were concerned its holy presence would disrupt the tiny village community.

During its time in the village, the doll was subject to many rumours about its spiritual significance, with some villagers believing that it found crying when discovered by the fisherman. Considering the supernatural beliefs of the Indonesians and the fact the doll was discovered not long after the March solar eclipse - you can understand the confusion (Ok, not really). But in all seriousness, isn't it nice to know there are still innocent people out there who don't know what sex dolls are really used for? We wonder how the Indonesian police explained it to them?
