Although the debate for marriage equality in Australia has been extremely unpleasant (and we could think of 122 million better ways to spend $122 million), it has been incredibly humbling to see so many huge companies, corporations and individuals speaking out in support of equality, and the latest group to come together in support of the 'yes vote' is a big one.

Some of Australia's best musical talent are throwing a huge music festival, apltly named YesFest, in support of same sex marriage. Headlined by the most Aussie bloke around, Barnsey, the Live-aid style gig will also see performances from Client Liaison, Flight Facilities (DJ), Heaps Gay DJs, Jack Colewell Kirin J Callinan, Killing Heidi, KLP, Megan Washington, Nick Cester (Jet), Northeast Party House, The Preatures, Tkay Maidza and Touch Sensitive.

"We're supporting YesFest because we'd rather stand for people's rights than stand in their way of receiving them," said Flight Facilities.

YesFest will be held on Sunday, October 29 - the week before votes are due back - at Spotless Stadium in Sydney, and will be livestreamed on YouTube to catch a global audience. All profits beyond hard costs will go towards LGBTQI charity groups.
