The concept of 'fusion fitness' is the combination of multiple different types of exercise, which helps you get the most out of your workout. This was a strong driving force behind why I opened my boutique studio and coffee lounge, Luxe Yoga, as I wanted my members to get a worthwhile, unique workout experience. A few examples of fusion classes we have at LuxeYoga include Beat Box, Pilates Sculpt, Booty Ride and Hip Hop Yoga. So, why fusion fitness?

1. It's more time efficient

Why fusion fitness is the secret to your summer body

For optimal health we're told to incorporate cardio, yoga, strength and high intensity interval training into our fitness schedules, but who honestly has the time to do this? Fusion classes allow you to have a bit of everything and as a result, achieve more from your workout. Our class, Core Ride, is the perfect example. It's a cardio spin class choreographed to the latest hits that incorporates Pilates-style moves to strengthen and tone the mid section. These days we're time poor as it is, so why not be time efficient with your workouts?

2. Creates a sense of excitement

Over doing the same routine at the gym or running on the treadmill? Fusion classes are perfect for injecting a bit of excitement into your regime. Say goodbye to boring workouts and classes with the variety that fusion fitness offers - and did I mention that they're also perfect to shed that winter weight? You'll reach your summer body goals quicker by combining different typesof exercises into your schedule.

3. Bang for your buck

Fusion Fitness also allows you to get a value for your buck. It becomes pricey being a member of different studios who all have different offerings, so joining a studio like Luxe Yoga, which  offers fusion fitness classes, gives you everything you need under one roof. Release tension in Aerial Flow (aerial yoga, strength and deep stretches) after a full on week, let off some steam duringa Piloxing (Pilates and boxing) session, or tone that body with a Hot Barre (Heated standingPilates/ballet fusion) class.
