Ask anyone you like - from Rita Ora to Barack Obama, everyone - from pop music to politics - is bringing the Nike Air Max back from its '90s heyday. Even the ultimate tastemaker- Celine's Phoebe Philo - is a fan, taking a bow after many of her shows in a pair of the iconic kicks.
And it just got easier to nab yourself a pair, with the news that the Nike Sportswear Air Max Lab is coming to Sydney. Opening to the public this Saturday March 12 for just one month, the Air Max Lab brings a curated program of top notch experiences to Sydney's Surry Hills, with interactive sneaker design, art installations and custom sneaker services.
Kicking off with a Q&A session on March 12 with Sneaker Freaker editor-in-chief Simon 'Woody' Wood, Christopher Kevin Au and Jazz Bonifacio, the program includes a Nike+ Run Club Local Run that begins and ends at the Air Max Lab on March 23 and culminates with Air Max Day on March 26, an exclusive event for Sydney's sneaker lovers.
