Aussie actress Cassie Howarth reveals her training secrets
Summer Bay babe
Cassie Howarth is no stranger to hard work. The Home and Away star regularly has 4.45am wake-up calls (ouch) for her early morning starts on set, plus she has a hectic filming schedule and, on top of that, she fits in a gruelling fitness regime. But despite her erratic working hours, the actress manages to keep in top shape. Here's how she does it:
Where and how often do you train?
I train at Flow Athletic - a boutique gym in Sydney's Paddington and I also do dance classes about five times a week.
Tell us a bit about your trainer.
Ben Lucas is one of the founders of Flow Athletic and I train with him once a week. He's very positive and encouraging, not only about my fitness but also my career goals and mindset. He takes a very well-rounded approach to fitness. He's tough when I slack off but also understanding when I'm at mentally [consumed] with work or dealing with stress.
What's the number one thing you've learnt from your trainer?
That [training] is as much a mental thing as it physical. And also how to stay positive about my goals.
What are your body goals for 2016?
To stay in a healthy weight range and strengthen my leg muscles.
What's your favourite body part to train?
My legs and bum.
What's your favourite exercise of all time?
I love when we work with the resistance bands.
Do you have a favourite #fitspo when it comes to body goals?
Not really. No one else has my body, so I just want it to be in the best shape it can be!
