But don't worry, we're not suggesting you share the actual macarons with your followers, er, friends, just the exquisitely designed packaging.

When one of the most in-demand fashion illustrators collaborates with a luxe world-renowned dessert house you know it's going to produce something exceptional both in looks and taste. Which is exactly what happened when Australian artist Kerrie Hess (she has illustrated for everyone from style bible Vogue to French couturier Chanel) and France's temple of decadent desserts, Ladurée, recently collaborated on a set of limited edition macaron boxes.

This pretty pairing seems like an inevitable step for Ladurée who have a history of fine fashion form. Their stylish sweets have adorned the sets of many high-fashion scenes such as Sofia Coppola's fanciful flick Marie Antoinette and the small screen's sartorially driven Gossip Girl - Ladurée macarons were the favoured dessert of Upper East Side queen, Blair Waldorf.

The new limited edition collection, From Paris with Love, feature Kerrie's signature illustrations on the outside of the boxes with Ladurée's mouth-watering macarons on the inside. Kerrie says she was inspired "to capture the beauty and tradition of the Ladurée brand in its iconic pastel tones through paint, as well as a touch of fashion and whimsy." Which makes buying your next box of macarons guilt-free and technically an 'investment' in art...

The From Paris with Love collection is available now from Ladurée Woollahra and Ladurée Tea Rooms Westfield Sydney
