Tuesdays used to mean cheap movie nights (they sometimes still do), but now all we want is to squeeze into Vini and sample sensational Italian. Every Tuesday, chef Stephen Santucci is whipping up a four-course menu of regional specialities, with local wines to match.

First up is Sardegna (Sardinia) next Tuesday May 26, followed by Calabria on June 2, Emilia Romagna on June 16, Trentino on June 23 and Campania (home of the margherita pizza) on June 30.

Run by chef Andrew Cibej, who also owns Surry Hills institutions Berta and 121 BC, the tiny enoteca on Holt Street is known for serving up hearty Italian dishes to anyone who can squeeze in. Bookings for the regional dinners are essential: visit vini.com.au
