Anyone who's got their tan on in Hawaii knows poke - the original buddha bowl (we're talking before #cleaneating was a trending hashtag on Instagram), it's a zesty, healthy mash-up of ingredients like mango, lime, avocado and coconut, topped with fresh fish.
Although it's a traditional staple of the Hawaiian diet, poke has just started making a name for itself on menus in LA and New York - and Melbourne eatery Tokyo Tina, in Windsor, is one of the first to bring it down under. And to celebrate their first birthday, they're giving away free bowls to the first 450 customers to order it between 12-4pm this Sunday February 28.
The Tokyo Tina version is gluten-free and mixes sashimi salmon with avocado, mango and a lime/coconut ball. If you're looking for a summery lunch option this weekend, this is it.
