Today is Starlight Day, the children's charity's biggest annual fundraiser for seriously ill children and their families. This year, the foundation aims to raise $1.3 million to support 33,000 sick kids around the country - and they've devised a delicious way to do it.

Neil Perry has come on board to create a one-off burger for The Burger Project menu, with $2 from every order going directly to Starlight. Consisting of 100 per cent grass-fed beef, pineapple, beetroot, tomato, lettuce and cheese, the $12.90 burger is available at the Burger Project's World Square and MLC Centre shopfronts, in Sydney's CBD.

Perry's Rockpool Foundation has also committed to matching donations made today. "I've been working with Starlight for more than 20 years, and I'm humbled to see how the Captain Starlight and Starlight Express Room programs continue to help sick kids recapture their childhoods with strength. It's incredibly inspiring," Perry says.
