We've chartered the evolution of the martini from a languid James Bond-style lounge drink to current noir-hued heart-starting caffeinated It-varietal, the espresso martini. It's basically a coffee and liquor lovers dream: the perfect pairing of pumped up and chilled out in one mind-blowing drink.  To celebrate this killer cocktail FINALLY being available on the reg on bar and restaurant cocktail lists, major coffee and booze brand, Mr Black Spirits Co. is hosting the world's first espresso martini festival on Saturday 5 November at Melbourne's Meat Market.

Stacked with all the #goodlife essentials, The Mr Black Festival of the Espresso Martini will showcase a slew of Australia's best specialty coffee roasters like cult favourite MILKLAB, Campos Coffee, Rushmore Coffee, The Kind Coffee Co., plus liquor makers (think: Ketel One and of course Mr Black), coffee shops and food trucks. This coffee/booze festival will hit surround sound on some seriously sweet beats and for the coffee-and-liquor loving gamer there'll be coffee pong.

Attention Melbourne: This is not your average booze festival

"Our festival is a celebration of great drinks: espresso from leading speciality roasters, high-quality spirits, and of course the world's best coffee liquor. We're excited to get all our coffee and liquor friends in one place and have a cheeky coffee party," Mr Black Founder, Tom Baker said. We'll cheers to that.

Tickets are on sale now from espressomartinifest.com and the Mr Black Eventbrite page from $25 per person. For more information head to espressomartinifest.com
