Opening in December 2016, The Provincial has already established itself as a firm local favourite with its warm, provincial-style cooking showcasing the best produce our Aussie shores have to offer. Known for their distinct and completely delicious charcoal flavours thanks to their custom-built woodfire parilla barbecue, their sparkling new brunch menu provides drool-worthy barbecue-flavoured dishes as well as all the regular best-of-breakfast-and-lunch suspects.
The offerings range from perfectly light buttermilk pancakes with peach compote and maple syrup, to poached eggs with house-made chorizo, to French omelette with chives and brie, to a breakfast burger with house-made sausage, to traditional heartier provincial favourites like pea and pumpkin risotto and scotch fillet steak with ciabatta and caramelised onion.
Morning-after thirst is thoroughly quenched with their brunch drinks menu covering everything from cocktails (think: Distillery Botanica gin, elderflower, mint and lemon or classic peach bellini) to the G-rated range of milkshakes with the standout coming in the form of a popcorn caramel shake. The Provincial is located at 124 Terry St, Rozelle. Brunch is served Friday - Sunday 8am until 3pm. It's also open for dinner Tuesday - Sunday from 6pm.
