With locations in downtown Potts Point, harbourside Neutral Bay and now Miller St, Cammeray, it's fair to say this casually chic eatery and providore is quietly dominating the wholesome, healthy eating scene. The husband and wife duo behind the concept, Lisa and Josh Thompson, employ a mantra that eating healthy, nourishing food should be easy with accessible options that are actually delicious (no more limp lettuce lunches). Because, let's be honest, when faced with an arduous journey through hours of gridlocked traffic to get to the one health food shop in town, the golden arches are going to win every time.
The Cammeray Farm Wholefoods location opens this week and will walk the same line her Potts Point and Neutral Bay sisters follow, opening for breakfast and lunch seven days a week in a pared back soothing farm-style setting that draws on Josh's childhood memories spent on his Grandparent's coastal farm. The seasonal produce-driven menu is a highly edited healthy mix of nourishing bowls, salads, sandwiches, burgers and sides all made in-house and has been developed in collaboration with nutritionist and wholefoods cook, Jacqueline Alwill (The Brown Paper Bag) making it nutritionally legit as well as flavour-packed. Standout options include a green breaky bowl filled with eggs, broccoli, baby spinach, avocado, lemon, pesto, chilli flakes and dill, and a lunch bowl of chicken, quinoa, baby spinach, sprouts, dill, Spanish onion, goats cheese, avo and lemon. And like their flagship Potts Point store and Neutral Bay location, Cammeray will offer a full deck of wholefood products to fill your weekly shopping basket.
The Farm Wholefoods is located at 81 Macleay St, Potts Point, 459 Miller St, Cammeray and 27 Grosvenor St, Neutral Bay. Open Monday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch. thefarmwholefoods.com
