If you regularly order Negronis or just like your drinks bitter, this is one bar concept you'll really get behind: Campari has launched a month-long pop-up inside The Old Clare Hotel. All neon red lights and Italian-ified styling, the pop-up bar is on now until the very end of August, pouring Campari cocktails and Campari tonics along with an impressive line-up of events every Wednesday.
Next Wednesday August 17 Campari will be joined by a Messina ice-cream cart (YAS) for complimentary scoops of Campari-infused gelato, along with other flavours. The following Wednesday August 24 will see Brewtown Newtown enter the fray, serving up mini custom-created Campari cronuts that - wait for it - you get to fill yourself from one of three Campari cocktail-inspired ganache fillings.
At neighbouring Kensington Street Social, the gilded bar cart will serve Campari palate cleansers, Campari tonics and three styles of Negroni (including a dessert option). The Campari love fest continues at various Sydney bars and restaurants throughout August, including Icebergs Dining Room & Bar, Coco Cubano Central Park and Mrs Sippy in Double Bay.
