Like a phoenix rising from the ashes the newly revamped all-day eatery, Fountain, on the site of the former Fountain Café opposite Kings Cross' El Alamein Fountain pays due respect to the Art Deco history of the area via their ACME-designed interiors while also providing a fresh new dining destination for this cool kid 'hood.

Fountain Potts Point interior

Open from 7am in the morning until late in the eve, the Fountain looks set to become the inner city address for breakfast, brunch, lunch, after-work drinks and dinner. The menu reads like a rhapsody of in-season favourites, think: breakfast of avo smash on organic rye, signature crème bruleè French toast or egg white omelette; quinoa salad or papardelle al ragu for brunch; bar snacks of tempura fish tacos, sweet potato fried or chilli prawn pizza; or for dinner hit the mains with a juicy eye fillet steak or a wild mushroom risotto. While hanging with a friend over a stack of duck fat potato hash on sourdough with a locally-brewed Simon Says Cold Pressed Juice on the side is always the number one dining preference, the Fountain is realistic about how time poor we all are - offering tasty take away treats like their mouth-watering breakfast burger of maple bacon, poached egg, avocado salsa, cheese and chilli jam.

For the après-work crew, the Fountain has you covered with their transformation from all-day diner to wine bar once the sun goes down. Supporting local wine growers, the wine list is stacked with Hunter Valley drops, alongside international varietals and classic cocktails.

Fountain Potts Point is located at 18 Darlinghurst Rd, Potts Point. Open every day from 7am until late. fountainpottspoint.com.au
