Christmas has come early for Sydney-based cheese lovers, with a weekend-long cheese festival coming to Carriageworks next month. After the success of their Melbourne festival last year, Bon Fromage is heading up the Hume Highway to Sydney, and it's bringing over half a tonne of cheese with it.

The festival is open to cheese lovers for one weekend only and will host a series of masterclasses and demonstrations from some of Sydney's best cheese purveyors. Entry to the festival is free, and that half a tonne of cheese mentioned before? Yep, all of that is free to consume as well.

Of course, if you taste something so creamy and delicious that you absolutely need to take it home to share with friends (lol, good joke), there will be a selection of European cheeses available to purchase throughout the festival.

And just when you thought heaven couldn't get any sweeter, the festival will also have a wine bar on site, so you can sip on pinot while sampling soft brie.

Bon Fromage is presented by the Centre National Interprofessionel de l'Economie Laitière (CNIEL), with the support of the European Union.
