Uber is slowly changing the way we live one ride share and one restaurant-made meal at a time. The ride sharing company was only founded in 2009 and already it's achieved near world domination in the way we get around, so it made complete sense when they employed their expert A-to-B knowledge to move into gourmet restaurant home delivery via the aptly named, UberEATS.
Melbourne was the first Aussie city to get the restaurant-to-door service and now our southern neighbours have just one more compelling reason never to eat out again with diners able to order beer and wine alongside their bowl of piping hot ramen or chef-made buffalo mozzarella pizza from 30 licensed restaurants on UberEATS delivery list.
For the under 18 UberEAT-er however, this is not your all access alcohol pass. Delivery drivers will need to see valid over 18 ID before handing over the booze and ordering is limited to six bottles of beer or one bottle of wine per order. No word yet on when it will roll out across the rest of Australia.
