Seemingly not satisfied with their runaway success, Huxtaburger - the Melbourne mecca for burger aficionados everywhere - is out to win over the vegetarians. Their new menu, which includes new burgers, sides, sundaes and milkshake flavours, boasts the Sondra, which replaces the chef-made fast food chain's wagyu beef patty with one made from kale, quinoa and zucchini instead.
The Sondra (pictured above) is layered with hummus, pickled onion, beetroot, tomato and lettuce, making it far more dietician-friendly than the other new burger on the menu, Vanessa. A breakfast burger made with hangovers in mind, Vanessa is a fry-up of bacon and eggs, melted cheese, Bloody Mary mayo and tomato sauce - crispy potato rosti optional.
Other new menu items include panko-crumbed onion rings, Skull Island prawns and southern fried chicken tenders. Wash it all down with the new choc-mint, jaffa or bubblegum-flavoured milkshakes or a choc-mint or jaffa sundae. So retro, so delicious.
