Sweet tooths at the ready: tomorrow night, Sydney's Shangri-La Hotel will play host to Sweet Street, the one-of-a-kind food festival that promises to make your wildest Willy Wonka dreams come true. Now in its second year, the sugar-laden affair is the brainchild of the Shangri-La's resident pastry chef (and secret punk rocker, we suspect) Anna Polyviou - you've probably seen her drool-inducing creations on Masterchef.

Joining Polyviou are some of the country's most inventive pastry and dessert chefs, including Adriano Zumbo, Gelato Messina, Black Star Pastry, N2 Extreme Gelato and Andy Bowden. Polyviou and Messina have been working together on a secret recipe to be revealed at the festival - sweet, sweet news indeed.

Taking place at the Shangri-La's Grand Ballroom, the festival will also feature graffiti artist Sid Tapia, break dancers and three DJs to provide the soundtrack to your sugar high.  Tickets are $75 and include eight tokens to be redeemed at the various dessert stalls.
