Italian street food comes to Sydney

For too long kebabs and Pie Face (shudder) have been the only late-night dining options in Sydney's Kings Cross

Now there's a new kid in town - and he's come all the way from Naples. Chef Flavio Tosolini, formerly of North Shore favourite Fourth Village Providore in Mosman, is cooking the Italian street food he grew up with at the new Friggitoria on Bayswater Road, Kings Cross.

Born and raised in Naples, Tosolini opened his first restaurant in Sardinia before moving to Australia eight years ago. His Italian heritage is clear in the piping hot arancini, freshly fried calamari and pizza fritta (deep-fried pizza dough - need we say more?) he's now dishing up for Sydney customers day and night.

Move over, greasy kebabs - we'll take Italian-inspired street food any day.
